About Us
Dan and Polly Plourde have been creating crafts together for many years, exhibiting their work all over New England, New Jersey and New York. For the last couple of years they have been exhibiting exclusively in Maine.
- Dan
Dan has been working with wood for more than 30 years. While he builds cabinets and furniture for people, working on his lathe is his first passion. He has had many collectors purchase turnings from him and enjoys conversing with them about what they have in their collections. It is not uncommon for him to be approached by people just beginning to learn woodturning who have a lot of questions. Sharing his knowledge with other people who want to learn or improve their craft comes naturally to him.
- Polly
Polly works with stained, fused and slumped glass, focusing primarily on quilt and geometric designs. She creates stained glass panels and also enjoys working with old window sashes. She removes any remaining glass from the sash and then creates a quilt-type design within it. The result is a wonderful blend of old and new! She also creates custom window valances for people who are tired of the same old window treatments in their home. Polly works with customers to come up with the right design and color choices to enhance their décor.
